South Indian films like Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), KGF: Chapter 1 (2018) and Pusha: The Rise (2021) became huge successes across India and established Prabhas, Yash, and Allu Arjun as pan-India stars. With the lines blurring between the industries, here is the list of five South Indian stars who will make their debut in Bollywood in 2022.

1. Vijay Deverakonda

Vijay Deverakonda, known for such films as Arjun Reddy (2019) and Dear Comrade (2019), will make his debut in Bollywood with Dharma Productions’ much-anticipated film Liger. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the bilingual film sees Deverakonda paired opposite Ananya Panday.

2. Rashmika Mandanna

Rashmika Mandanna is currently celebrating the success of Pushpa: The Rise (2021), which did exceptionally well in the Hindi belt. Now the actress will make her Bollywood debut opposite Sidharth Malhotra in the upcoming film Mission Majnu.

3. Vijay Sethupathi

Vijay Sethupathi recently released his upcoming film Mumbaikar’s poster on the occasion of Vikrant Massey’s birthday. Directed by Santosh Sivan, this film will mark his debut in Bollywood. He has also signed on to star opposite Katrina Kaif in Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas.

4. Raashii Khanna

After establishing herself as a versatile actor, Raashii Khanna is now making her debut in Bollywood with Dharma Productions’ Yodha, alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani. Before Yodha, she will be seen opposite superstar Ajay Devgn in Disney+ Hotstar’s upcoming show Rudra: The Edge of Darkness.

5. Naga Chaitanya

Aamir Khan’s upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddhawill mark Chaitanya’s Bollywood debut. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role. After facing several delays in the past, the period drama is set to enter cinemas in April this year.
